Fabric Cutting

I decided that I'd better buy some more 'boyish' fabric for swapping and managed to find some lovely English fabric last week, in two different colourways. Tonight I finally had time to sit down and cut it all out!! So I now have two new piles of fabric, and I even cut out the small sample of fabric to stick in the wishes when I send them. I also got the printing done to make more wishes, although I still need to actually construct the wishes! That's tomorrow's job :-)

Squishes Five and Six

These lovely monotone fabrics, have come all the way from the Hawaiian Islands - wow :-)
This black and white fabric, with a map of he Hawaiian Islands and picture of a Hawaiian statue is also from Wendy - thank you again Wendy :-)

And last but not least, this second black and white fabric with Hawaiian scenes was also sent by Wendy - thank you very much Wendy for all the Squishes you sent :-)

Squish Four

These beautiful bugs arrived from Southbridge, MA (I'm going to have to look up what state uses MA as its initials!!). Thank you Catherine :-)

Squish Three

I've decided to jiggle around some of the Squishes I've already received and add the more boyish ones to Little Prince's collection. Hopefully that way the numbers he and MeiMei have will even themselves out a bit quicker!! So this is the second Squish I ever received, but it is Little Prince's third Squish. Hope you are keeping up with this lol.
And this is my second Squish, all the way from Sherwood, Arizona, USA. Thank you Kammy :-)

Squish Two

This Squish was a lovely surprise sent when a friend noticed I had started a OHGWQ for Little Prince.
The fabric is a blue cloudy sky, with colourful aeroplanes flying around. Its perfect for a little boy quilt :-) The wish is a quote from Winnie The Pooh, Little Prince wants to know why Winnie The Pooh sent him a square? The answer from Suzanne (who actually sent the fabric lol) is because he's special :-) Thank you ever so much Suzanne, the fabric is gorgeous (and I'm not just saying that honest) and starting to get his own fabrics is definitely making Little Prince feel very special :-)

Squish One (bonus!)

A surprise was waiting inside the envelope containing Squish One!!
And the surprise was this pair of similar design/different coloured fabrics, covered in miniature planes. Thank you ever so much Monica, it was a lovely surprise :-)

Squish One

This is the Squish that set me off on a second OHGWQ quest. Little Prince loves this fabric, although he thinks it is routes (as in Route 66) signs not licence plates!!
This lovely, very American and very cars orientated fabric is perfect to start off Little Prince's Squish collection. It has come from Floyds Knobs (!!!), IN. Thank you ever so much Monica :-)

Another Day Another Blog Another Quilt!!!

I was going to make Little Prince a quilt of his own, once I had finished MeiMei's quilt. A few weeks ago I saw someone swapping American car licence plate fabrics, and as cars are Little Prince's FAVOURITE things EVER, I thought I'd make a start with his fabric. He was so excited when we received this fabric that I realised that he was feeling a bit more left out of the quilting excitement than I thought! So I have made the (foolish - we shall see!!) decision to start collecting his fabric now too!! Goodness knows how I'm going to stay organised enough for this lol. But I'll give it a good go :-) So here it is my THIRD blog and my SECOND quilt collection!!!
